How Much Does Plastic Surgery Cost?
Plastic surgery is expensive, especially if you’re having it for purely vain reasons. This article looks at the cost of plastic surgery, procedure by procedure. It’s intended to be entertaining and informative, so don’t accept anything written here as medical advice.
One of the most common types of plastic surgery today is breast augmentation. Sometimes this is almost a necessity, as in the case when a woman suffers from serious self-esteem issues because her breasts are absurdly small. Other times it’s just a way to make more money at your evening job. Either way, you can expect a breast augmentation surgery to cost between $4000 and $8000. The more you pay, the better they’ll look. (Usually.)
As common as breast augmentation is, face lifts are possibly even more common. As people get older, their facial skin gets looser. This results in an aged look. A face lift tightens up that loose skin and eliminates some of those wrinkles. When done well, a face lift can be a really good thing. When done badly, the patient (victim?) may look freakish. Face lifts costs anywhere from $7000 to $10,000.
One kind of plastic surgery that I think makes a lot of sense is tattoo removal. The obviously more affordable solution is to not get tattoos in the first place, but many of us made bad decisions when we were younger. Tattoo removal is one of the least expensive types of cosmetic surgery you could have too, coming in well below $1000.
When you consider the cost of plastic surgery, you have to consider the benefits of having the surgery versus the cost. In some instances, it might just be too danged expensive to be a realistic option.
