Africa -Where’s the Profit

February 19th, 2009

How pious those politicians are,
When up there on T.V.
Saying that, all the things they do,
They do for you and me.
I don’t remember requesting weapons,
Or to send my sons to war.
Just how many tons of food,
Would all that money provide for?
I didn’t ask for that highway,
Or the ‘modern art’ with purple lights.
I would rather all those millions,
Helped with Human Rights.
Did I ask to stockpile food in hangars,
Until the price goes high.
Why can’t we send it, to Africa,
Instead of letting them die.
The cost of clothes, for the ‘P.M’s’ wife,
Or even the President’s daughter.
Would probably give thousands of villages,
Access to clean water.
And if every politician, in the world,
Gave just one tenth of their wages.
It would feed millions of people in Africa,
Help them survive for ages.
If we must invade some countries,
Because of ‘principles’ so high.
How about those, spending money on weapons,
While their people die.
Conglomerates make huge profits,
Feeding those, already obese.
So why can’t they spare some millions,
To help fight this disease?
So Mister Politician, if you are itching to invade,
Let’s all invade Africa, with help and love and aid!

Natural Solutions for Better Prostatic Well-being

February 17th, 2009

BPH, or benign prostate hyperplasia, is a common medical phrase frequently used for a swollen prostate gland. In layman’s terms this actually means the prostate gland, a mass similar in size to a walnut situated just beneath the bladder and wrapping the urethra, becomes larger and this can impair or maybe even stop urination. As males mature, the prostate grows and as a result can engender ailments such as troubles with urination, weakened urinary flow, and even the holding of residual urine within the bladder. Nighttime frequency and continual urinary tract infections are some further problems that may result from prostate gland engorgement. Swollen Prostate - What Does that Mean? Prostate swelling is considered one of the most frequent medical problems of males in their 60’s. Yearly examinations are suggested for every male over 50, irrespective of the occurence of symptoms, for the upkeep of prostate health. Seek medical intervention at once if blood is found in the urine or if unable to pass water. Treatments for prostate enlargement may include surgical operations and the use of pharmaceuticals. Nevertheless, surgical operations may result in further symptoms some of which are sexual dysfunction or even loss of bladder control. Hypertension drugs or medicines which reduce the prostate gland are often prescribed to improve prostate wellness, but medicines frequently lead to undesirable results what alternatives are recommended?

The Dawn On The Nile Valley “Has” Secrets To Tell!

February 14th, 2009

Amnesty International comments on the proposal that has been laid out by President Obasnjo the Chairman of the African Union in regards to the Sudanese Darfurian issue.

The Nigerian President proposed to have an “African Panel for Criminal Justice and Reconciliation” to deal with the crimes committed by the dictatorial regime in Sudan.

Paying respect to some of the African leaders, I think the proposal will undermine the International Criminal Court and protect the impunity of those responsible of the crimes.

Everyone knows that, there’re more than one dictator in the continent right now. Those dictators are ruling their people by iron and fire. It’s more worse there than what it had been during the Fascism period in Europe.

Now with this proposed African Panel, the New Fascisti will have a new lease of life! Ah. That’s very clear, because they will compete to defend each other. Natural. And this will be a miss.

I am calling since more than three years and even before the Darfurian issue, to submit those dictators to the International Criminal Court.

They have committed a well known political crimes not against the Darfurian and the Southern people only, but against the Northern people as well.

If the memories are too bad to remember, go a head and search for the political crimes committed by the first dictatorial regime in the Sudanese modern history during 1959-1964. Then of those committed during the second dictatorial regime during 1969-1985.

Then come to the worse and worse of those who are ruling now since 1989.

Then you probably will know who makes the devil itself a devil!

If the memories are too weak, the history is not.

The rebels are not innocent too. Just go to the jungle there and investigate; and do more investigation in Eritrea too.

The dawn will come with great stories for the new Sudanese generation to read and take leasons.

The Contemporary Global Marketplace - IT, Software, and Services

February 12th, 2009

“Had there not been outsourcing and utilization of cheaper resources offshore, average computer users would not have been able to afford the hardware and software that are available to them today.” In this manner, author Robin Sood brushes aside superficial criticism of outsourcing and brings home to the reader of IT, Software and Services: Outsourcing and Offshoring two key points: outsourcing is already widely used and its positive effects go well beyond increased company profits. Forget about the naysayers and the trumped-up, political maelstrom of controversy surrounding the issue of outsourcing, Sood urges. Instead, consider that outsourcing is here to stay, as an inevitable part of the global market, and is already providing most of us with practical benefits.

Policy makers and industry leaders already understand these matters, but Robin Sood has dedicated himself to making the best information and strategies pertaining to outsourcing and offshoring more widely available. Sood is an ideal person to take on this task, as he has more than fourteen years of experience in the outsourcing field, in domains from oil well-logging to banking, and in various nations around the world. Currently, Sood is Program Manager of a large product development program with 280 staff members and nine sites in five countries: China, France, India, Japan, and the U.S.

IT, Software and Services: Outsourcing and Offshoring distills his experience, offering the reader concise, information-packed overviews of such crucial topics as “Reasons for Outsourcing,” “What Can Be Outsourced?,” “Prerequisites for Effective Outsourcing,” “Selection of Vendors,” “Contracts and Contractual Issues,” and so forth. Throughout, Sood focuses on the importance of productive self-questioning and on elucidating proven strategies. His goal is to make certain that the reader does not fall into one of the many traps outsourcing and offshoring can set in the path of the unwary novice. Companies lose literally millions every year because of a lack of information and foresightbut with this book in hand, that won’t happen to you.

Sood rounds out his consideration of outsourcing by providing overviews of the strengths and weaknesses of major offshore destinations, such as India, China, Russia, and the Philippines, and by glancing at developing trends that will shape the future of outsourcing. He also provides appendices that examine vendor and offshore culture and the current situation of software professionals in the United States.

IT, Software and Services: Outsourcing and Offshoring is essential reading for the shrewd business leaders of the 21st century. If you are contemplating outsourcing, already involved in it, or merely want to remain competitive in today’s fast-moving and ever-changing marketplace, you cannot afford not to read this book.

National Security; College Campuses

February 12th, 2009

I have witnessed a new era of security in the US. It is by far more prevalent than ever before. All dutied personnel and former officers of law enforcement are on alert. This is good. However we should not blow our wad too fast here. Remember International Terrorist acts are a waiting game. They learn the defenses and then figure out the system and then attack like an insider. There are holes closing fast on their efforts. But with each new leak fixed in the dam, there are new areas of vulnerability. Even if the areas in question are less of a problem then previously. For instance a chain is only as strong as it’s weakest link.

We have an easy system in our universities for recruitment and the brain washing techniques are easily used on growing and expanding minds. Those who have not experienced the world, real world from a proper perspective are easily recruited for all kinds of stuff. Military service, corporate headhunters, political groups, religious organizations, social causes and even International Terrorism. Some of this is good. Corporations need people with intelligence to run American business and they contribute dollars, advise of curriculum and a reason to attend college in the first place.

Higher educations no matter how one feels about it is part of the American Dream, part of the perception of what opportunities really exist in our great country. If you will read “Rich Dad, Poor Dad,” “The Millionaire Next Door,” “The Millionaire Mind,” “Die Broke.” All have there different takes on this factor of college. Also if you would read “Rocking The Ages” you will see some interesting views coming from our different generations on this point. Either way after studying all these books and making some observations of their ideas and what brought the authors to their various thought processes, I would have to conclude this institution of higher learning will be around for a while and as these students of different subjects all come to one place it is a great way for them to learn new ideas. Unfortunately it is also a great place to recruit for good and evil. Religious organizations often recruit from these areas, many times it is a fad in ones life which allows them to be easily turned. There are many techniques for doing this. Some are the obvious ones, and others are quite diabolical in nature. Unfortunately they are so common that both good and evil both use it for recruitment.

Are we watching the brain washing going on in our colleges, are we watching for those who might use this venue for recruitment? We need to be thinking here.

I Pity Nigeria

February 8th, 2009

Fear grips my heart when I see a crowd of people trekking home from a corner of a street. They are all moving towards my direction. I think they look very much like people migrating into our country. Maybe I should call them refugees. But, were they really what I took them to be? For I know my country is not a place where people would willingly come to reside.

Out of the large crowd, I see a lady with a baby on her back smiling at me. As she comes closer, I discover she is a neighbor. I smile back at her, but with curiosity within me.

“Neighbor, where are these people coming from?” I ask. “From St. Matthew,” she replies, as I look into her eyeballs with surprise. “What’s happening in St. Matthew today?” I ask again. “Nothing, we just attended the first mass,” she answers. “You mean this is just a mass for a Sunday service?” “Yes,” she says, nodding her head, still smiling.

I decide to keep a lookout for the second mass. The crowd was large too. The third mass had the largest crowd of all. It could be said to double the first and second mass.

Mind you. These were the only ones I saw that very day. I did not mention other churches in that same vicinity and other places. I live in a place where you’ll find not less than five churches in a street with loud speakers mounted everywhere. And this so much affect our hearing. So we shout at the top of our voices, making signs with the fingers for easier communication.

My country is in a great mess. Imagine a place where milk and honey flow. Nigeria is blessed with oil and agriculture. A land blessed by God, for every Nigerian to enjoy. But, only some sets of individuals are rich. Why? When the Military were in power, I thought things were bad. But as the civilians came on, things became worse.

Actually, we all wanted democracy. We clamored for it. But as it is now, I no longer understand the meaning of the word democracy. It sounds like it means “demonstration of craziness,” because we’ve not experienced its benefits and it never favored us. Maybe we should go back to the autocratic system.

I wish our past heroes who once ruled our nation, such as Alhaji Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, The Right Honorable Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Major General Johnson Aguiyi Ironsi, including other regional leaders like M.I. Okpara, Awolowo and Sarduana of Sokoto will come back to life. They will see that their labor for Nigeria was in vain.

Our new presidents no longer do anything right for this nation to develop. We no more serve our fatherland with love and strength; neither do we serve in faith. Even the patriotic rhythm of our National Anthem has lost its value.

We do not “serve with hearts and might.” Neither do we experience “peace and unity.” Rather we experience tribal and religious wars. In the Northern part of Nigeria, we constantly hear of Christians and Muslims killing themselves. Hatred for other religious groups has been our practice. Why?

We are not free anymore. Our lives are threatened for the sake of truth. Our heads are not seen as leaders, but as rulers. They dictate and give orders. They hate counsels. They detest the truth and hide it in their undies so it decays and stinks like dead rat. Corruption has become their hobbies.

They help to revive peace and unity in other countries, while our country is falling apart. Crisis, conflicts, pains and poverty is what our nation has been experiencing since 1985 till date. And probably, it might extend till 2007 and beyond.

Yes, I’m sure, because the leadership still rotates among the same old “cargoes,” who refuse to die or who never get tired of staying at the Aso-Rock—the seat of power. They sit tight there in conducive rooms dictating what happens to the masses. They’ve never experienced hardship.

At times, I ask myself this question: “Will this nation ever return to her former state?” “And if it will, who will be the Moses or Savior that will achieve that for us?” The answers to these questions are far fetched. Because corruption, as started and practiced by the leaders has indirectly been legalized for every citizen.

Or maybe we need a moral man. Not a Christian. Not a Muslim. Because none of these religious groups have made any positive influence on us. But the question now is: Where is the moral man?

Now think of the population of Nigeria. Where are the resources to take care of them? Budgets? No. They read budgets. And we hear of the large amounts mentioned. The budgets are shared among state and local governments. And we don’t see what they do with it.

An average Nigerian can no longer afford three meals a day. There is hardly a family where you won’t find a child with malnutrition. Except for the rich ones.

Oh God of creation, direct our noble cause
Guide our leaders right.
Help our youths the truth to know.
In love and honesty to grow,
And living just and true.
Great lofty heights attain,
To build a nation where peace and justice shall reign.

That was the second stanza of the National Anthem composed by a true Nigerian, Mr. Ben Odiase, of the Nigeria Police Band in October 1st, 1978. He never expected that one day his nation would turn for the worse.

I pity Nigeria. I pray for change!

Bring Peace to Iraq

February 8th, 2009

Such would be of benefit to the whole world and to all peoples on Earth.

It is easier done than said. There has been plenty said and no progress.

What needs to be done

Seek out what can be agreed by all. Omit talk about anything else.

Decide the basic essentials, which would be agreed by all men and women of goodwill, which might exclude George Bush. So be it.

The first priority for discussion and for decision by all people of Iraq, is to decide on a monetary system that can please everyone.

Will Iraq have a single common currency, for the whole, or should each division of Iraq have its own currency.

If Government or Governments in Iraq, each had only one function, that function must be to create and issue its currency. A Parliament that does not have control of the creation and issuance of its own money, is a meaningless cipher.

Therefore if it were decided by the majority of people living in Iraq, that a single common currency for the whole country would serve them best, then automatically they would come to have one Government and one Parliament.

The drafting of a constitution would then be placed on a back burner until Parliament became established.

Likewise if each sub-division of Iraq, be that two or three or even more in number, each chose to have its own currency, created and issued by its own Government and Parliament, all talk of a constitution will be put on hold, until that process of creation is complete.

The reason for all this, lies in the fact that whosoever creates a Nations currency, has total control, power, dominion and sovereignty over that nation.

So that if the Kurds for example, decided to have their own currency, they would achieve the only independence worth having.

Knowing George Bush, such an idea for Iraq, would give him apoplexy. It would kill him politically, and he would become history.

It might cause civil war in America, but it would bring peace to Iraq.

Democrats - Where to now?

February 4th, 2009

The presidential election just passed and as everyone knows by now George W. will be spending another 4 years in White House as Commander of Chief of the world. Err America. Not only that, the Republicans gained seats in both the House and Senate.

I have been thinking about this ever since the election ended, but where exactly does the Democratic Party go now? The Republicans went through a major change starting in 1964 to Present day making great strides, but what are the Democrats going to do about this recent trend of thinking amongst the American people?

One suggestion is that the Democrats start broadening the spectrum a little more and start pulling in more religious rural users by using “moral values” or at least touching lightly on the subject. As most liberal Democrats will agree, this is not something we as a party want to go through, it might help out more with the right wing, but definitely not the left.

Other suggestions include dropping the Gun Control agenda or simply start using more affective advertising attacking the other side.

I however believe one of these two should take place:
1) Make the party more liberals. This would help out on the libertarian vote as well as the more leftist groups like socialists and the Green party. As the youth of America gets older the Democratic Party needs to expand to include their views. The voting turnout was not as great as anticipated for this demographic, but if the Democrats want to compete in the New Age they must start preparing now.
2) Less bashing, more conceitedness. Many will agree that Kerry spent too much time talking about why Bush was not meant to be President of the United States, but what he didn’t do very well was explain his views and what he will do to be a better president. Time and time again when asked why didn’t you vote, the response has been “I don’t like Bush, but I don’t know Kerry’s views.”

Like me, many will say that Kerry did a good job during the debates describing his views, but for some reason or another not everyone watches these. He must get out onto the campaign trail and make some one liners which will stick in peoples heads when they go to the polls on Election Day.

Other arguments are that he did make his voice clear, but just wasn’t heard because the media only played his one liners against Bush. If this is so, don’t make any one liners against him. With the FCC breathing down network throats, they have to have equal amount of time for each candidate. This means that if there isn’t any audio of the Democrat bashing the Republican, they have to play one the other tape, which say something positive.

I am by no means a political expert, but I do believe whole-heartedly that the Democratic Party will have to go through major changes over the next four years to compete with the colossal machine we call the Republican Party.
